Mrs. Malkie Ribowsky – Director

Mrs. Malkie Ribowsky has been serving the Queens and Brooklyn communities as a principal, teacher, and camp director for over 20 years.   The programs and lessons she conducts are both extremely exciting and fun. She successfully and responsibly mentors teens.  Her caring, creative, and dynamic personality make her popular and well-liked by her students and staff alike. The personalized attention which is given to each and every girl later develops into close relationships and friendships. 

Mrs. Liba Cohen – Head Counselor

Mrs. Liba Cohen has been a born and bred camper. She has spent many year at Camp Agudah Midwest and has been in the teaching field for many years.  Liba brings her dynamic personality, love for everyone, and her organizational and management skills to Camp Maayan. 

Mrs. Leah Savage – Teen Director

Leah has been going to camp since she was in second grade and hasn’t left! For the past 7 years she worked at Camp Seneca Lake as the program director, chinuch teacher and spin instructor. During the year she lives in Columbus, Ohio and works at the Columbus Torah Academy as the Student Support Specialist and Judaic studies program director for grades K-6. Leah is married to Rabbi Jon Savage and they are blessed to have five awesome kids. Leah loves everything about camp is looking forward to joining the Maayan Midwest family this summer!

Mrs. Malki Lehrfield – Activity Head

Malki lives in Baltimore with her husband, son and 5 daughters. Malki has her Master’s degree in special and regular education.She has been in education for the past 13 years. She was a classroom teacher for 10 years and has been serving in an administrative position for the past 3 years in JEWELS Inclusive School.

Malki has a warm and bubbly disposition which makes children feel comfortable and happy.
She loves cooking, dancing, nature, and spending time with her family.

Malki was a true camper from a young age. She always enjoyed camp life and looks forward to coming to the MMW camp scene this summer.

Mrs. Tzippy Wengrow – Head Lifeguard

Tzippy Wengrow is excited to be returning to Camp Maayan Midwest as our Aquatics Head again this summer. Tzippy is a Red Cross certified lifeguard with waterfront training, as well as a certifies Lifeguard Training Instructor. With her warm, encouraging personality and efficient, capable demeanor, Tzippy is a beloved member of the Maayan team, at the pool, the lake and all over camp!

Mrs. Adina Zoimen – Day Camp Director

Adina’s love for sleepaway camp and adventure took her from the forests of Camp Sternberg to moving from New York to spend the last twelve years in Cincinnati. Adina is a long time playgroup morah and juggles caring for her pre-schoolers while keeping up with her own six awesome kids. Adina is excited to join the Camp Midwest family this summer!
